Yep, it’s that time of year again. Time for my annual post about my wedding anniversary, wherein I gush a bit about my husband and matrimony.

So we are now at the 15-year mark. Ironically enough we are having a hard time figuring out what to go do tonight. We can’t just take off on a weekend vacation (we’ve got one planned in a couple of weeks though) tonight, and we’ve been having trouble finding something “anniversary” enough without feeling like a normal “date night” activity or costing an arm and a leg. Hrm. I guess the honeymoon is really over if the most exciting thing we can think of to do is dinner and a movie, right? Nah. We’ll make up for it with steamy sex or something, I’m sure. 
We’ve been through some stuff in the past year. I’ve had a few folks over the years point at our marriage and tell us how happy we seem, but we have our occasional spats just like anyone else. Money is almost always the biggest catalyst and I know we’re not alone on that front with the economy having been so bad these past years. But, I’m happy to say that no matter what point of contention happens to bring us to argument, we always find our way back to each other and the path we share together. After 15+ years with Brian, he is still my best friend, my lover, and my soul mate. We understand one another. We talk to each other (although sometimes it takes us longer to do so than it ought). And we take care of each other as best we can.
No matter what life brings in the years ahead… I still love you, Brian. I do.
And whatever we decide to go and do tonight, it will be another wonderful anniversary, if only because I get to spend it with you.
